August. A month full of many different emotions. When August begins, we are still full swing into summer and my sessions are starting to pick up and my days can be very full trying to be a mom and run a business. I get into a mode mid-month, where I am just ready for school to start again so I can have a chance to breathe. Then, like clockwork, the end of the month approaches and I change. I start thinking about my kids actually going to school and leaving me for 7 hours a day and I get very emotional. I get overwhelmed. I get sad. Last year was the hardest on me because my baby went off to Kindergarten. I was a wreck for weeks. Unlike my two sons who have become much less fans of being in front of my camera, she still loves it. She loves the time with just the two of us. Last year around this time I took her to this sunflower field (you can see some of those images here), and we decided to do it again this year.
My daughter is my muse. Her name is Sedona~ The Confluence of Purity, Beauty, Strength, Bliss, and Serenity. <3 She is all of that to me and inspires me so much. So with feeling a little blue about the imminent first day of school, we took a ride together and this is what I created with her that golden eve.
Now follow the circle around to …Stacey of Soul Threading here! She is drenching us in soulful monochrome this month! <3
